We believe in the power of every choice. We know that even small actions can make a big difference.

“They Matter”, reflects our commitment to creating better livelihoods for women and youth, and playing our part in driving economic growth.

Through cooperation, we’re not just producing clothes, we’re designing a brighter future.

Kega's Family

We design empowerment opportunities. Our mission is built on the belief that our responsibility extends beyond environmental impact; it reaches into the heart of society.Empowering women and youth is more than a goal; it is a driving force for change.

By providing meaningful work, we are not only shaping stylish and comfortable garments but also stewarding lives. Through curated initiatives, we’re actively turning this into action.

We provide training programs that guide young talents towards success, skill-building workshops equip women to excel in their craft and become leaders in their communities, and in our fellowship moments, we create invaluable opportunities to share experiences and foster connections.

Society

We believe in fashion with purpose, and this drives our impactful initiatives. We put this dedication into action through our giveback activities.

We create mastectomy bras for breast cancer survivors, distributing them through hospitals and NGOs. We also offer subsidized prices on our panties and boxers to various humanitarian organizations and philanthropists.

Through cooperative efforts and a vision of the future, we are working towards establishing a Kega’s hub. Offer opportunities for people to get the technical training for what we do in various capacities. The aim is to empower them, encourage them, and increase their self-confidence in order to allow them to fulfill their purpose.

Dignity packs giveaways and production of mastectomy bras

We partner with a Eneza Rescue Center by providing free panties as part to ensure that girls and boys everywhere feel supported and dignified.

We also proudly collaborate with institutions to provide mastectomy bras to individuals who have undergone mastectomy surgery. Offering free mastectomy bras made from recycled materials is a testament to our dedication.

These bras are crafted from recycled cotton cut-offs, contributing to sustainable fashion practices.

Environment

Through circular economy practices, we collaborate with institutions and NGOs, amplifying our efforts for lasting change.

We’re dedicated to minimizing waste, as evidenced by how we handle cotton cut-offs. The scraps which cannot be utilized internally, are diligently collected and repurposed by vendors. We ensure that all waste is collected responsibly and handed over to liable entities, preventing it from harming the environment.

Engaging in Sustainable Innovation: the InTex Project

Here is a photo with Prof. Josphat Igadwa Mwasiagi (principal investigator of UNEP’s InTex project) who came to visit us.

We are participants in the InTex project, which is part of the United Nations  Environment Program (UNEP) founded by the European Union.

As part of this collaboration, we are engaged in a transformative mentorship program with Moi University. This program drives Kega to excel beyond its current initiatives, aiming for transparency and sustainability at every point in the value chain.

Hence, by working hand in hand with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners, we are collectively shaping a more sustainable future.

The participation on the InTex Project aims to:

Develop product environment footprint (PEF) through eco-innovation

Enhance sustainability and circularity in the textile and apparel value chain

Improve access to environmental data for informed decisions
